Abstract: Liver cirrhosis is the late stage of many chronic liver diseases. Infection is one of the most important complications in patients with liver cirrhosis.  Tthis article aims to analyze the pathophysiological changes of cirrhosis, especially that during decompensated period, to understand the pathogenesis of cirrhosis complicated with infection, and to summarize the experiences of diagnosis and treatment, so as to promote correct clinical understanding, reasonable prevention and standardized diagnosis and treatment.
