Prevention and treatment of type 2 diabetes macrovascular complications

Abstract

Abstract: Macrovascular complications of diabetes are important causes for disablity and death of type 2 diabetes patients， thus the prevention and treatment of macrovascular complications are very meaningful in type 2 diabetes. Because of the complicated pathogenic mechanisms， a comprehensive intervention strategy should be emphasized in the prevention and treatment of macrovascular diseases. The present review focuses on the advances in management of the main risk factors of macrovascular complications in type 2 diabetes mellitus， including blood glucose， lipid， blood pressure and antiplatelet therapy.
